Anna and Stephen were married in a humanist ceremony at the beautiful Dorset House School in Pulborough. They had opted for a humanist ceremony because it gave them the freedom to be much more creative with their ceremony. For example rather than choose from only a selection of given hymns, they were able to have whichever hymns they wanted to. They could also write and say their own vowels.
The ceremony took place outside in the grounds of the school in the amphitheatre. This was really lovely and very, very, pretty. The ceremony itself was completely unique in a really good way. Anna's father wrote one of the songs, Anna and Stephen both wrote their own vows, and they even had a traditional "tie the knot" ceremony. It was gorgeous.
Afterwards, while the guests had canapes and drinks, we took a few moments to one side, away from the guests, to capture a few "couple only" portraits/shots.
The party then ensued with food, speeches (some truly lovely ones in there too with another little song from Anna's dad that actually nearly made me cry), cutting the cake and lots of dancing.
A fab day with a great bunch of people :-)
