Emma and Stephen were married at St Mary's Church in Yapton and held their reception at Fontwell House. These are two of my favourite venues. St Mary's Church because the clergy there are so welcoming and friendly every time without fail, and Fontwell due to it's fantastic grounds with lots of hidden areas.
Emma and Stephen are a super lovely couple and I was really looking forward to their big day.
The day itself started with bridal preparation shots at Emma and Stephen's home. Everyone was nice and relaxed and it wasn't long before I was off to the church to catch Stephen arriving with his Best Man.
Emma and Stephen had hired a beautiful camper van to take the Bridesmaids to the church but unfortunately, it broke down on the way there. The girls jumped out of the van, and quickly flagged down a couple of passing cars with locals in who kindly agreed to get them to the church and they made it there just before the bride. (Turned out it was only a minor technical difficulty and the van was ready again by the time the ceremony was finished which was perfect. Will also make a great story for the grandkids in years to come.) Emma's car/ride - a gorgeous old fashioned Beetle got there without a hitch and the ceremony all went through lovely and smoothly. We snapped a few family groups at the church and then headed off to Fontwell.
Once we were at Fontwell, we grabbed some shots of the guests relaxing and the reception room which was absolutely beautiful. Emma had handmade most of the table decorations and flowers and it looked beautiful.
Unfortunately the weather didn't quite hold and it really poured down just as we were coming to the end of the formal/couple only shots. Emma and Stephen were amazing though and didn't complain once.
All in all, it was a brilliant day, with really, really nice people. Thank you Emma and Stephen for letting me share the day with you. x
